According to the latest findings from CDK Global, a provider of innovative solutions for the automotive retail sector, UK dealers spend 64 per cent of their marketing budget on digital channels. This is a growth from 45 per cent in 2015.
Stuart Miles, managing director for UK and Ireland at CDK, said: “Our research shows that retailers spend anywhere between 0.2 per cent and 1.3 per cent of their turnover on digital market, so it’s important to get it right.”
The study also revealed that the number of UK dealer sites could decline by 25 per cent before 2022. Therefore, they need to place a strong emphasis on their online marketing campaign in order to survive and remain profitable.
Mr Miles added: “We are working with retailers to understand the factors that impact the success of their digital marketing.”
